🏞️ The coexistence of dizziness and tranquility, Yongyeon Cloud Bridge: Who knew such a dramatic place was hidden in downtown Jeju! This is the story of the Yongyeon Cloud Bridge.

Yongyeon Cloud Bridge: This bridge is located downstream of Hancheon Stream, which runs through downtown Jeju, at the point where it meets the sea. Yongyeon is a deep valley formed over a long period of time by the river, and its shape is said to resemble a pond from the legend where a dragon ascended to heaven, hence its name. As I stepped onto the bridge, clear and blue valley water flowed beneath my feet, and I felt a momentary dizzying thrill because of its depth.

The bridge itself is made of wood, so you can feel a subtle resonance every time you cross, which adds another kind of fun. The surrounding green forest and bizarre rocks blended together, giving me the feeling of enjoying a life of immortality. Especially this bridge has artistic nighttime lighting.

At night, the bridge and surrounding cliffs are illuminated with dazzling lights, creating a romantic and dreamlike atmosphere that is completely different from the daytime.

Unfortunately, it was during the day when I visited, but I felt that I really wanted to come back at night and see the night view of Yongyeon, which connects to the Jeju night sea. The area around Yongyeon has long been considered one of the ten scenic views of Yeongju, boasting outstanding scenery.

🐎 The romance adorned with the red sunset, Iho Teu Beach, leaving behind the thrilling Yongyeon Cloud Bridge, I headed to Iho Teu Beach to see the symbolic sunset of Jeju. Ihotew Beach: Famous as the closest beach to Jeju International Airport, it is a popular summer vacation spot due to its fine sand and gentle water depth.

The name of the beach, Iho, is said to have been associated with the combination of the meaning of a boat-shaped lake, with the former name Teu (‘te’ meaning pony and ‘u’) where ponies were raised in the past. The biggest attraction of this beach is undoubtedly the horse-shaped lighthouse!

Two red and white wooden horse lighthouses stand facing the sea, making it an exotic yet Jeju-like photo spot. The lighthouse was bustling with people lining up to take amazing photos of their lives. The moment that moved me the most was when the sun began to set beyond the horizon.

As the red sun fell between the lighthouses, it painted the sky and the sea entirely orange, and it was truly romantic in itself. On the beach, you can also see a sculpture that embodies the traditional Jeju wooden boat, Teu, which is a very small wooden boat that Jeju fishermen used to use for fishing in the nearby sea.

Every summer, a festival commemorating this Teu is held, so if you want to experience traditional culture, visit during the festival period!

The mysterious valley beauty of Yongyeon Cloud Bridge and the red sunset of Iho Tewoo Beach were perfect courses that allowed you to experience the diverse charms of Jeju Island at once.
